Dr. Reg Grundy AC OBE is known around the world as a television icon. He has been named one of “The 50 Most Influential Australians of All Time” and produced more than 160 different television programs. In 1959 he established his first television production company, Reg Grundy Enterprises, in Sydney, Australia, and in the late 1970s he created Grundy Worldwide, which became the largest independent television production and distribution company in the world. He was the original pioneer of local television production on an international scale and operated offices in more than 20 countries during the 1980s and 1990s. His television programs were distributed in over 76 countries.
Yet his delight and avocation have remained wildlife photography. Grundy has travelled all over the globe to capture his images, and his exhibitions have appeared in New York and Los Angeles, in most capital cities of Australia, and in Bermuda, where exhibitions remain indefinitely at the Wade International Airport and the National Museum. This is his third book, his first two being The Wildlife of Reg Grundy (2005) and Bermuda Longtail (2011), both published by Longtail Press.
He lives with his wife, the historical fiction author Joy Chambers, in Bermuda, their home of 30 years, which they share with their Shetland Sheepdogs.
