Born in Iran and raised in England, photographer Firooz Zahedi came to the US in 1969 to study at Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service. After serving as a diplomat, he resigned to enroll at the Corcoran School of Art to pursue the arts for which he always had a deep passion.
He has since succeeded in becoming one of the most established photographers in Hollywood. Besides numerous award winning advertising and publicity campaigns for major films and television shows, album covers for the likes of Barbra Streisand, interiors for Elle Decor and House Beautiful, he has also been a contributing photographer for a variety of magazines, shooting covers for the likes of Vanity Fair, Glamour, and Time. His portraits, fine art photographs, and collages have been shown in prominent galleries in New York, Los Angeles, Basel, London and Dubai as well as the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and the Norton Museum in West Palm Beach.
Firooz and his wife divide their time between their homes in Los Angeles, New York and Palm Beach.
